Connecting Supply Chain, Finance and Industrial Planning to secure processes
Industrialising an existing S&OP process, extending its scope and adding a financial layer
Operating in more than fifteen countries, this major agri-industrial player needed to modernise an existing S&OP process that was highly aggregated, inconsistent across regions and lacked true financial integration. Practices relied on disparate tools, limiting forecast reliability and cross-region consistency.
The challenge was to onboard all regions (APAC, EMEA, AMER) onto a single, robust platform, simplify data consumption and consolidation, and extend the process scope to financial dimensions in order to strengthen global Supply Chain steering.
Project approach
A matrix-based, phased approach to strengthen performance and multi-region team engagement
As part of this transformation, a matrix project approach by delivery wave and business unit was implemented to enhance existing processes before introducing new ones, such as linking S&OP outputs to raw material procurement planning or deploying a mid-term production plan.
Our support covered detailed requirements design and facilitation of international teams through immersive formats such as plant visits, seminars and dedicated change management weeks, ensuring adoption and ownership of the target Anaplan-enabled process.
Global standardisation
Balancing local specificities and a core model through strong, shared governance
In a context where each entity had its own operational specificities, the challenge was to define a robust core model without overlooking local realities. The approach relied on a detailed understanding of functional needs and the implementation of structured governance built around an international Key User Group.
This organisation ensured consistency, convergence and adoption of the target model while maintaining the flexibility required to address regional specificities and enable effective global collaboration.
Data quality
Securing large-scale data volumes and user bases worldwide
The Anaplan platform integrated large volumes of commercial, Supply Chain transactional and financial data, fed by dozens of teams and more than 100 users worldwide.
To guarantee result reliability, we designed a single, robust DataHub ensuring automated, controlled data integration. Consistency, traceability and alerting mechanisms were implemented to secure all data flows and strengthen information quality.
